Last night, the voters of the 61st Assemblly District made their decision. While this is not the result our campaign hoped for, I want to congratulate Ben Brist. I wish him well as he moves forward.

To everyone who supported this campaign: thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To my family, campaigns require sacrifice from the people closest to us, and I could not have done this without your love and support.

Although we did not win the primary, I am proud of the issues-centered campaign that we ran. Democracy is bigger than any one campaign or election. It is not only about who wins or loses. It is about whether we continue to participate, continue to hold leaders accountable, continue to care for our neighbors, and continue to work toward the Wisconsin we believe in.
